About Us

Tomorrow is a Better Day – TBD Algeria began as a small Facebook initiative in 2011, but truly came to life during the COVID-19 pandemic when its founder, Lyna F., created the official Instagram platform.

From the very beginning, the goal was clear: not just to talk about sexual violence, but to offer real support, guidance, and community to those affected by it.

TBD Algeria’s mission is threefold:

  • Raise awareness about sexual violence and dismantle taboos.
  • Offer psychological and legal support to victims.
  • Protect and empower survivors, women, and children through education and solidarity.

Through its work, TBD has organized self-defense workshops, awareness sessions in schools and fairs, and collaborated with national and regional campaigns.

Its online presence has also led to tangible impact: aggressors exposed through the initiative’s campaigns have been identified and arrested by Algerian authorities.

Despite its main Instagram page (105k followers) being shut down due to mass reporting, the initiative continues to thrive.

Today, TBD Algeria stands as a safe, trusted, and independent space where victims of sexual violence can find support, knowledge, and a community that believes them.
